Eddie Lakin founded our company in 2009 with one driving principle; make burgers and fries that taste better than what competitors are serving for around the same price.
It worked! 12 years later, Edzo’s Burger Shop has achieved iconic status in Evanston and the greater Chicago area with it’s freshly-ground burgers, hand-cut fries and old-school milkshakes because they don’t cut corners. Eddie took his fine-dining culinary school background including 2 years experience working in Michelin-starred restaurants in Spain and Italy and laser-focused it on how to backward-engineer the best damn burgers and fries the world had ever tasted.
And Eddie is always dreaming up new concepts. There’s the bowls-based one in development for 2022, a taco/bao mashup, and a restaurant where all the food is served on a stick.
